INPEX explores, develops and produces oil and natural gas. Its operations include international resource projects and liquefied natural gas supply, alongside lower-carbon energy initiatives.
History and development
The present INPEX group took shape with a joint holding company for INPEX and Teikoku Oil in 2006, followed by an operating-company merger in 2008. It adopted the INPEX name in 2021. Its oil and gas development heritage is older than the current name and corporate structure.
