History and development
Shin-Etsu Chemical was established as Shin-Etsu Nitrogen Fertilizer on September 16, 1926. It expanded from chemical and fertilizer operations into PVC and semiconductor silicon. Its materials-production heritage now spans applications ranging from construction to electronics.
