Jibun Stocks

Build your own market dashboard

Choose charts, organize tabs, swipe and drag, customize colors and desktop size, and sync your Jibun Stocks layout across devices.

Start with the markets you check every day

Jibun Stocks is a customizable market board, not just a fixed list of prices. Start with about four charts rather than filling the screen immediately. For Japan, one possible set is the Nikkei 225, TOPIX, USD/JPY and Japan's 10-year government bond yield. For the United States, try the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, Dow Jones and USD/JPY. These are examples of screen organization, not recommendations to buy particular assets.

Use Add chart on the dashboard to search by name or ticker. A cash index, an ETF and a CFD can have similar names while representing different instruments. Check the category and open the chart's explanation before adding it. You can change or remove a chart from its detail page. Each chart should answer a question you actually want to ask; adding more charts is not an end in itself.

Organize tabs around a purpose

Tabs can represent markets, such as Japan or U.S. stocks, or tasks, such as a morning check, holdings or after-hours monitoring. Add one with the plus button in the tab bar. Long-press the currently active tab to rename, reorder or remove it. Removing a tab reorganizes your board; it does not remove that company's data from the site.

On a phone, swipe left or right across the chart area to change tabs. To move a chart, hold it until it lifts, then drag it to the position you want. Putting broad indexes first, currencies and yields next, and individual shares last gives your eyes a repeatable route from the overall market to specific companies. On a computer, click tabs to navigate and use a long press followed by dragging to adjust the layout.

Adapt the display to your environment

Settings lets you choose the colors used for gains and losses. Color conventions vary, so choose a familiar combination and also check the sign and percentage rather than relying on color alone. Light, dark and system-following modes let you match the board to your viewing environment.

The desktop-only chart-size setting offers Small, Medium and Large. Larger cards are easier to inspect but leave room for fewer columns. Small suits broad comparisons; Medium or Large suits a closer look at lines and numbers. Changing the setting returns you to the dashboard so you can inspect the result immediately. Size is stored only in that browser; phones retain their automatic layout.

Understand what sync does

You can use the board without an account; tabs and chart positions are saved in your browser. A free account lets you sync the layout and color palette across devices signed in with the same ID. This is useful when you add a chart on a phone and later check it on a computer. If you clear browser storage or switch browsers, check your login and sync state.

Sync is not a collaborative edit-history system. If two devices have different unsynced edits, changes from the device you are actively using may take priority. Make major reorganizations on one device, then open the other to check the result. On a phone, adding the site to your home screen makes daily access easier. Once the board is set up, a consistent viewing routine is more useful than repeatedly rearranging it.
