1545 is a Tokyo-listed ETF aiming to follow the Nasdaq-100 without currency hedging. The index includes roughly 100 large non-financial Nasdaq companies. Its yen value reflects both US shares and the USD/JPY exchange rate.
History and development
1545 joined Nomura Asset Management's NEXT FUNDS range in 2010, bringing Japan-listed trading access to the Nasdaq-100, which had begun in 1985. The index's creation and this fund's launch are separate events. Its unhedged design targets the index's yen-converted performance.

Comparing charts on this board
Place 1545 beside the Nasdaq-100, its CFD and USD/JPY to distinguish the previous US session, current after-hours pricing and yen translation. Its Japanese-session price is not simply a copy of the previous index close.
1655 provides a yen-quoted Nasdaq-100 versus S&P 500 comparison. With a shared currency layer, widening gaps invite examination of large-growth company news.
